SHAH ALAM, Dec 19 (Bernama) — Smartsel Sdn. Bhd. (“SMARTSEL”), the Selangor State Government–owned digital infrastructure company, recently announced the implementation of the Cyberjaya Fiberisation Project, a strategic state initiative to develop 41.1 kilometres of high-capacity underground optical fibre infrastructure in Cyberjaya.
The project marks the initial step towards the establishment of the Selangor Dark Fiber Network — a state-owned, open-access, neutral and scalable optical fibre network. This initiative aims to provide a strong digital infrastructure foundation to support future digital economic growth, including data centre development, data-intensive industries, high-value investments, and technology-driven public service delivery.
