KABUL, Dec 14 (NNN-BNA) – Afghan police arrested two drug traffickers for attempting to smuggle 222 kg of hashish in northern Afghanistan’s Badakhshan province, provincial police spokesman, Ehsanullah Kamgar, said, today.
The suspects were apprehended earlier today, during an operation in the Kishim district of Badakhshan. According to Kamgar, the traffickers were transporting the drugs using a vehicle disguised as carrying livestock.
Investigations are ongoing, and the suspects have been handed over to judicial authorities for further questioning.– NNN-BNA
