
DAR ES SALAAM, Dec 12 (NNN-DAILYNEWS) — Tanzania has hailed Saudi Arabia’s move to increase scholarship opportunities. Tanzania and Saudi Arabia move to strengthen their cooperation in the sector of education where the Kingdom nation plans to increase scholarship opportunities for Tanzanian youth from 90 to 127 students.
The agreement was reached in a discussion between Tanzania’s Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Adolf Mkenda with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Tanzania, Yahya Bin Ahmed Okeish.
In their discussion, the minister thanked Saudi Arabia for increasing the number of higher education scholarships for Tanzanian students while pledging that the government will make good use of the opportunities by enabling youth to pursue education in various fields while in Saudi.
Mkenda said that the government continues to implement strategies to build the capacity of youth in strategic areas such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Statistics, and Artificial Intelligence.
For his part, Ambassador Okeish said Saudi Arabia values and takes pride in its cooperation with Tanzania in the education sector and will continue to support efforts to advance education and skills development for Tanzanian youth in line with national priorities. — NNN-DAILYNEWS
