Jordan Sent Food Aid Amid Rising Tensions In Southern Yemen

AMMAN, Dec 10 (NNN-PETRA) – The Jordanian Armed Forces, yesterday, sent a convoy of food aid to Yemen, amid rising tensions in the country’s south.

The convoy, consisting of 13 trucks, carrying a total of 54,600 food parcels, aims to meet urgent needs and provide relief to citizens in Yemen, the Jordanian military said, in a statement.

The statement emphasised that, the shipment reflects Jordan’s ongoing commitment to support regional neighbours, in times of crisis and promote Arab solidarity.

Tensions in Yemen have escalated, with Presidential Leadership Council head, Rashad Al-Alimi warning that, recent military movements by the Southern Transitional Council in southern Yemen, challenge the authority of the internationally recognised government.– NNN-PETRA
