Police Arrested 52 Drug Smugglers In Afghan Capital

KABUL, Dec 8 (NNN-BNA) – Afghan counter-narcotics police, arrested 52 people on the charge of drug smuggling in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, the country’s Ministry of Interior said in a statement, yesterday.

Police detained the individuals allegedly involved in the sale, purchase and smuggling of the contraband, during a series of separate operations conducted on the outskirts of Kabul, according to the statement.

A quantity of illicit drugs, including methamphetamine, hashish and stimulant tablets, has been seized, the statement added.– NNN-BNA
