ALMATY, Dec 2 (NNN-KNA) – Kazakhstan exported 3.1 million tonnes of new-crop grains from Sept to the end of Nov, this year, marking a 14.8 percent increase, compared with the same period last year, the country’s Ministry of Agriculture reported, yesterday.
Shipments of Kazakh grain to Uzbekistan grew by 32.8 percent, from 1.066 million tonnes, to 1.416 million tonnes. Exports to Kyrgyzstan doubled, rising from 44,000 to 90,000 tonnes, while supplies to Afghanistan increased by 28.8 percent, from 139,000 to 179,000 tonnes.
Grain exports in the previous agricultural year, from Sept, 2024 to Aug, 2025, totalled 13.4 million tonnes – 47 percent higher, year-on-year – supported by transport subsidies. Kazakhstan intends to maintain this level of exports in the current season, with transport subsidies extended until Sept 1, 2026.
