CAIRO, Dec 2 (NNN-MENA) – Egyptian President, Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, inaugurated the 4th edition of the Egypt Defence Expo here, yesterday, the Egyptian Presidency said in a statement.
During the opening, al-Sisi toured Egyptian pavilions, showcasing domestic military production and other fields, and was briefed on various projects, including a joint howitzer manufacturing initiative, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, Egyptian Minister of Defence and Military Production, Abdel-Mageed Saqr, said, the expo has become a key global platform for showcasing advanced defence technologies.
Saqr noted that, in a period of regional and global challenges, maintaining readiness to confront dangers and threats is imperative.
The four-day expo, being held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre, features over 400 defence and security companies, displaying the latest military technology, equipment and systems across land, sea and air domains, and attracts military personnel, government officials, international delegations and industry professionals.– NNN-MENA
