Drug Seized, Trafficker Detained In Western Afghanistan

KABUL, Dec 1 (NNN-BNA) – Police seized three kg of illegal drugs and took into custody its owner, in the western Afghanistan Nimroz province on Saturday, spokesman for the provincial police office, Mawlawi Gul Mohammad Qudrat said, yesterday.

The alleged drug smuggler, according to the official, was attempting to take three kg of methamphetamine out of the province, but police foiled the attempt and took him into custody.

The Afghan government, which outlawed cultivation of illegal crops, including poppy and hashish in 2022, vowed to continue war against drugs, their production, trafficking, and process until the once drug-producing nation becomes free of the drug menace.– NNN-BNA
