MINSK, Nov 28 (NNN-BelTA) – Belarus exported over 30 billion U.S. dollars worth of food and agricultural raw materials, during the first four years of its current five-year plan, a Belarusian official said, yesterday.
Natalya Kochanova, chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, stressed the importance of developing the agro-industrial complex, the processing industry, natural resource management and ecology, it was reported.
“These sectors ensure the country’s economic and food security, provide employment for hundreds of thousands of people, and create the necessary conditions for a comfortable life for citizens,” she said.
Kochanova noted that, Belarus has achieved significant results in the agricultural sector, thanks to dedication and hard work of employees in sectoral enterprises and farms.– NNN-BelTA
