KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 28 (Bernama) — Fugro is strengthening its regional offshore operations through the establishment of a Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in Kuala Lumpur. The new communications hub will allow Fugro experts to remotely control offshore survey operations, delivering safer, more efficient and more sustainable projects.
The KL ROC will create employment opportunities by allowing some offshore positions to be converted into onshore roles. This shift unlocks the potential to attract a broader, more diverse workforce. Challenges usually associated with offshore roles, such as work-life balance, safety and shiftwork, will gradually ease as more positions open onshore.
