SYDNEY, Nov 24 (NNN-AAP) – A man has been hospitalised in a serious condition, after he was shot, during a home invasion in western Sydney, late last night.
The police force in the state of New South Wales (NSW), said in a statement today that, emergency services were called to reports of a shooting at a home in Penrith, about 50 km west of the Sydney central business district, at around 11:45 p.m. local time yesterday.
Officers arrived at the scene and were told that three men had broken into the home, before shooting a 26-year-old male in the leg and leaving the scene.
The victim was treated by ambulance paramedics and taken to the hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police have established a crime scene and asked members of the public with dashcam footage from the area to come forward.– NNN-AAP
