ISLAMABAD, Nov 16 (NNN-APP) – Five terrorists were killed, in an intelligence-based operation, in Lakki Marwat district, of Pakistan’s north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, police said, yesterday.
According to the police, the operation was conducted by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Takhti Khel area of the district, following credible information about the presence of the terrorists.
Weapons and ammunition were also seized, police said, adding that, the action averted a possible attack in the region.
Police said that, the operation was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle extremist networks operating in the province.– NNN-APP
