HANOI, Oct 24 (NNN-VNA) – Vietnam plans to invest over 196 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 7.5 billion U.S. dollars), to build the Gia Binh International Airport, in the northern province of Bac Ninh, local media outlet, VNExpress reported, today.
The project will cover nearly 1,900 hectares, featuring four runways and a passenger terminal with a capacity of 30 million passengers by 2030, and 50 million by 2050, along with supporting facilities, including cargo areas and maintenance centres.
According to the report, Gia Binh International Airport is expected to serve as a major international transit hub for northern Vietnam.
