KABUL, Oct 22 (NNN-BNA) – Security forces discovered huge quantity of arms and ammunitions, including two pieces of anti-aircraft guns, in the northern Afghanistan Baghlan province, an army statement in the northern region, said today.
Acting on tip-off, the security forces launched operations in Puli Hisar district recently, and unearthed two stocks of anti-aircraft guns of DSHK type, a piece of 82 mm calibre anti-tank gun, a machinegun and thousands of bullets and projectiles, the statement contended.
However, the statement did not say if anyone has been arrested.
As part of efforts to ensure peace and security in the post-war Afghanistan, the Afghan government has vowed to collect arms from anyone living outside security organs, and no one has the right to keep or carry arm illegally.– NNN-BNA
