ISLAMABAD, Oct 21 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan has successfully concluded its fourth nationwide anti-polio campaign of 2025, vaccinating more than 43.9 million children under the age of five, the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) said, yesterday.
The immunisation drive was conducted from Oct 13 to 19, covering all provinces and regions of the country, the NEOC said in a statement.
According to the statement, over 23.1 million children were vaccinated in eastern Punjab province, 10.5 million in southern Sindh, 6.18 million in north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 2.6 million in south-western Balochistan.
In the federal capital Islamabad, more than 479,000 children received the polio vaccine, while around 294,000 children were covered in the northern Gilgit-Baltistan region and over 733,000 in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.– NNN-APP
