DHAKA, Oct 20 (NNN-BSS) – A blaze that broke out at the cargo village of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, yesterday afternoon, has been fully brought under control, and flight operations resumed later last night, according to the Bangladeshi Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
The fire, which erupted at around 2:15 p.m. local time, was contained, following a prompt and coordinated effort by the fire service and airport authority, while no casualties were reported in the accident, said the ministry in a late yesterday press release.
The airport authority also confirmed that flight operations had resumed.– NNN-BSS
