Brunei’s 12th National Development Plan Awareness Programme Held

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Oct 19 (NNN-PELITA) – A dissemination programme for Brunei’s 12th national development plan (NDP) was held in Brunei’s Temburong district, yesterday, as part of an ongoing initiative by the Ministry of Finance and Economy, to raise public awareness of the plan.

The 12th NDP serves as the main foundation for Brunei’s development agenda, providing the basis for essential infrastructure and support initiatives, aimed at realising Brunei Vision 2035.

According to the ministry, the plan plays a crucial role in ensuring sustainable outcomes, that contribute to national industry and economic growth, strengthen fiscal resilience, create employment opportunities for locals, in line with industry needs, and support environmental management and protection efforts.

In addition to discussions on the 12th national development plan, the programme also featured presentations on the Brunei Accredited Green Unified Seal, a rating tool and certification scheme.

The five-year plan of 12th national development plan, from 2024-2029, allocates four billion Brunei dollars (3.08 billion U.S. dollars) across 305 development projects in the country, focusing on key sectors, such as education, health, industrial development, housing, infrastructure, digitalisation and green technology.– NNN-PELITA
