JAKARTA, Oct 16 (NNN-ANTARA) – No casualties or major damage have been reported, after a 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia’s Papua province, today.
According to the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the quake’s epicentre was located about 32 km south-east of the Sarmi district, at a depth of 18 km.
No tsunami warning was issued following the tremor.
