Mongolia Issues Warning Over Blizzards

ULAN BATOR, Oct 14 (NNN-APA) – Mongolia’s National Agency for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring, yesterday issued a warning of blizzards and strong winds.

The blizzards are expected to hit western, central and northern provinces of the country, over the next three days, which could result in poor road visibility and slippery conditions, said the weather monitoring agency.

Authorities have urged citizens, especially nomadic herders and drivers, to exercise caution and take preventive measures against potential disasters.

Mongolia is known for its harsh continental climate, marked by long, frigid winters and short summers.– NNN-APA
