Five Killed In Clash Between Two Families In E. Afghanistan

KABUL, Oct 4 (NNN-BNA) – A deadly clash between two families in eastern Afghanistan’s Kapisa province, claimed five lives, local media outlet, TOLOnews, reported late yesterday.

The violent incident took place in Dara Daram region of Tagab district, yesterday afternoon, TOLOnews cited Abdul Fatah Fayeez, the provincial police spokesman, as saying.

The conflict stemmed from longstanding family hostility, the official said, without providing further details.

Family feuds that often escalate into bloodshed remain a persistent problem in Afghanistan, especially in remote and mountainous areas, where long-standing rivalries and land disputes have claimed numerous lives over the years.– NNN-BNA
