Malaysia Pavilion Secures Sales Worth 89 Million USD At 22nd China-ASEAN Expo

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 3 (NNN-BERNAMA) – Malaysia’s Pavilion, successfully concluded its run at the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), held last month in Nanning, China, with sales amounting to 376.14 million ringgit (89.4 million U.S. dollars), the country’s external trade agency, said, yesterday.

The Malaysia Pavilion, which comprised 70 exhibitors, including eight ministries and agencies across various sectors, boosted their exposure and underscored the strong demand and growing opportunities for Malaysian products and services, in the China-ASEAN market, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) said in a statement.

The agency’s chief executive officer, Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz, said, the achievement reaffirms the competitiveness of Malaysia’s products and services, adding that, MATRADE remains committed to opening more doors for Malaysian businesses to thrive in China and the wider ASEAN grouping.

“MATRADE’s participation in this prominent event reflects our unwavering commitment to supporting Malaysian companies, in strengthening their foothold in Malaysia’s largest trading partner,” he said.

Held from Sept 17 to 21, in Nanning, China, the 22nd CAEXPO has proven to be one of the most effective platforms for Malaysian exporters, aiming to enter and expand their businesses in the Chinese market, it added.– NNN-BERNAMA
