Osaka Expo’s Total Visitor Number Exceeds Break-Even Point

TOKYO, Sept 29 (NNN-NHK) – The cumulative number of visitors to the 2025 World Exposition in Osaka City, western Japan, has exceeded 22 million, which is regarded as the break-even point, its organiser said, yesterday.

Preliminary data shows that about 22,000,500 people visited the Osaka Expo as of Saturday, since its April 13 opening, reaching the figure seen as the number needed to avoid a loss, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition said.

More than 200,000 people visited the Expo daily, over the past two weeks. If the pace continues through the expo’s final day on Oct 13, the cumulative number of visitors will come to around 25 million, the association added.

The organiser expects a total of approximately 28.2 million people to visit the Osaka Expo, before it ends next month.– NNN-NHK
