KABUL, Sept 29 (NNN-BNA) – The Afghan authorities have initiated the construction of a vital road, in eastern Kapisa province, the Ministry of Public Works announced, yesterday.
The 13.7-km-long road, which is being built at a cost of around 392 million afghani (about 5.7 million U.S. dollars), is slated for completion within 15 months, according to the ministry.
The project is expected to generate employment opportunities for local residents, during its execution. Upon completion, it will enhance transportation for communities and facilitate the efficient movement of agricultural and commercial goods, the ministry noted.
The Afghan government intends to roll out additional development and infrastructure initiatives, funded through its domestic budget across the country, aiming to address economic hardships and boost job creation.– NNN-BNA
