Sri Lanka’s Exports Earn Nearly 11.6 Billion Dollars In First Eight Months Of Year

COLOMBO, Sept 24 (NNN-LNW) – Sri Lanka earned 11.55 billion U.S. dollars from exports, during the first eight months of this year, the Export Development Board (EDB) said, in its latest statement, yesterday.

The EDB said that, the exports increased 6.61 percent, compared to the corresponding period, in 2024.

In August, total exports, both merchandise and services, were 1.6 billion dollars, the EDB said.

The EDB said, the strong performance underscores resilience in both the merchandise and services sectors, and expressed confidence that Sri Lanka will meet its 2025 export target.– NNN-LNW
