ALMATY, Sept 19 (NNN-TDH) – Foreign investment in Turkmenistan reached 1.4 billion U.S. dollars last year, equivalent to 11.6 percent of the total investment, Minister of Finance and Economy, Mammetguly Astangulov, said yesterday.
Speaking at the Turkmenistan Investment Forum, the minister noted that, total investment in the country’s economy reached 12.1 billion dollars last year, up nine percent from 2023.
He emphasised that, attracting foreign capital remains a key priority of Turkmenistan’s economic policy, highlighting oil and gas, petrochemicals, energy, and construction as strategic sectors.– NNN-TDH
