ALMATY, Sept 10 (NNN-KNA) – Nine drug laboratories have been dismantled in Kazakhstan, since June this year, as part of a national operation, the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, said yesterday.
Authorities have uncovered 677 drug-related crimes, since the operation began, seizing two tonnes of marijuana, 47 kilograms of hashish, three tonnes of cannabis plants, 155 kilograms of synthetic drugs, and 8.5 tonnes of precursors.
They also dismantled three organised criminal groups, including one transnational network.
The annual operation runs from June 1 to Oct 31.– NNN-KNA
