ISLAMABAD, Sept 9 (NNN-APP) – At least seven members of a family were killed, when a speeding truck collided with a car in Pakistan’s southern Sindh province, police said, yesterday.
The accident occurred on the National Highway, in Naushehro Feroze district, where a trailer rammed into a car carrying the family, police told media.
According to the police, the mishap occurred as the car suddenly braked for a vehicle ahead, after which a trailing truck smashed into it on a damaged section of the highway under repair.
Authorities said, both directions of traffic were using a single lane on the national highway due to ongoing construction.
Road accidents in Pakistan have become an alarming issue, with a significant increase in both frequency and severity over the years.– NNN-APP
