AMMAN, Aug 30 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, condemned ‘Israel’s’ ongoing offensive in the Gaza Strip and urged the international community to take decisive action.
In a tweet on X, Safadi praised the unequivocal condemnation of the ‘Israeli’ attacks, by the foreign ministers of Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, Slovenia, and Spain, as well as, their announcement to establish a permanent presence in Gaza City. He called on all countries that support international law and human rights to follow suit.
Safadi criticised what he described as Israel’s impunity, stating that, the Israeli regime “will not end its brutal massacres in Gaza and its colonisation of the West Bank, unless it faces consequences.” He warned that, the Zionist Israeli regime would continue to escalate tensions in the region, including destabilising Syria and Lebanon, if unchecked.
He further accused the recalcitrant Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, of exploiting the conflict, to advance his political career, saying, “Netanyahu thrives on conflict. He is destroying Gaza, killing prospects for a just peace and setting the whole region on fire, to save his own political career. And to implement the ideology of hate that drives his Zionist regime. This ideology is an inhumane racist ideology that the world should not tolerate.”– NNN-PETRA
