10 Hospitalised After School Bus Rolled South-West Of Melbourne

SYDNEY, Aug 27 (NNN-AAP) – Ten people, including nine children, have been hospitalised after a school bus rolled onto its side, south-west of Melbourne this morning.

Emergency services in the Australian state of Victoria were called to the incident, near the town of Stonehaven, 73 km south-west of Melbourne, around 8:20 a.m. local time, today.

A spokesperson for a hospital in the nearby city of Geelong, said that, it had received nine children and one adult from the crash scene, all of whom were in a stable condition.

The highway where the incident occurred has been closed in both directions, and motorists told to find alternate routes.

Nine Entertainment newspapers reported that the bus had rolled onto its side and later caught on fire.

Multiple children were reportedly initially stuck in the vehicle but have since been released.

Victoria Police said that, an update would be provided as soon as possible.– NNN-AAP
