EdgeConneX Establishes 350MW Data Center Platform in Japan’s Powerhouse Region of Greater Osaka

TOKYO, Aug 27 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) — EdgeConneX®, a pioneer in global Build-to-Suit and Build-to-Density data center solutions, is pleased to announce the acquisition of its second data center site in the Greater Osaka and Yawata areas of Japan, bringing its total data center platform capacity to 350MW of utility power, further highlighting the region’s significant scalability potential. The second site will provide an additional 150MW upon completion, adding to the previously announced 200MW in Japan.

A ceremony was held on August 7th with landowner Keihan Real Estate, an integrated developer built upon the foundation of Keihan’s 100+ year history in the railway business. The Keihan group, spearheaded by Keihan Real Estate, is a corporate group consisting of 50 companies and is developing its core business in the four fields of transportation, real estate, retail distribution, and leisure/service.
