TASHKENT, Aug 24 (NNN-UzA) – Uzbekistan’s fruit and vegetable exports exceeded one billion U.S. dollars, in the first seven months of this year, local media reported yesterday, citing the National Statistics Committee.
From Jan to Jul this year, Uzbekistan exported 1.3 million tonnes of fruit and vegetable products worth over one billion dollars.
Compared to the same period last year, export volumes increased by 5.2 percent, or 62,900 tonnes, while the value of exports rose by 35.2 percent.
In Nov, last year, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, said that, the country’s fruit and vegetable exports are estimated to reach 3.5 billion dollars this year.– NNN-UzA
