HAVANA, Aug 23 (NNN-ACN) — Alain Lamadrid Vallina, General Director of Information, Communication and Informatization of Cuba’s Ministry of Higher Education (MES), visited several Mexican university centers today to strengthen academic and technological cooperation.
According to the MES’s official Facebook profile, the official held meetings at the University Center of Chapala (CUChapala) and the University Center of Tonalá (CUTonalá), both belonging to the University of Guadalajara (UDG).
The exchanges addressed the possibility of establishing international cooperation bridges in areas such as environmental sustainability, automation and robotics, social innovation, and digital literacy.
During the meeting, the scientific capacities of the center were presented, and opportunities for collaboration between CUTonalá, Cuba’s National Network of Research and Education, and the University Corporation for Internet Development were identified for joint innovation and training projects.
Lamadrid Vallina’s presence at the UDG consolidates cooperation ties between Cuba and Mexico in strategic areas of knowledge and contributes to the strengthening of regional academic networks oriented towards sustainable development and digital transformation, the publication underlined. — NNN-ACN
