Indonesia Prioritises Domestic Gas Supply After Pipeline Fire Disrupts Production

JAKARTA, Aug 23 (NNN-ANTARA) – The Indonesian government has prioritised meeting domestic gas demand, following a recent supply disruption, caused by a pipeline fire, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia said, here yesterday.

The minister said that, part of the gas previously allocated for overseas shipments, has been redirected to the domestic market, to address the temporary shortage.

The disruption had earlier triggered complaints from industries, which reported reduced productivity due to limited gas supply.

According to the minister, the situation has now been brought under control, and domestic supply has returned to normal levels.– NNN-ANTARA
