ASTANA, Aug 23 (NNN-KTA) – Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan plan to launch an industrial trade and logistics centre on their border, next year, Kazakh President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, said yesterday, during his visit to Kyrgyzstan, according to the Kazakh presidential press service.
At a press conference, following his talks with Kyrgyz President, Sadyr Japarov, in Bishkek, Tokayev said that, bilateral trade turnover reached 1.7 billion U.S. dollars last year, and the two countries aim to raise trade volume to three billion dollars, over the next five years.
According to Tokayev, the governments of both countries have been tasked with adopting a two-year roadmap, to boost trade and establish joint ventures.– NNN-KTA
