KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 22 (NNN-BERNAMA) – A Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) jet, was involved in a runway accident, at an airport in Malaysia’s Pahang state, yesterday.
The jet, an F/A-18D Hornet, was involved in the accident at 9:05 p.m. local time, the RMAF said, in a statement.
It also advised the public against speculation on the incident.
Pahang state police chief, Comm Yahaya Othman, said, both the pilot and co-pilot in the F/A-18D Hornet plane crash were reported safe, and are receiving treatment.
Videos circulating on social media show the jet moving along the runway with bright sparks emanating from it, during takeoff.– NNN-BERNAMA
