Jordan Condemns Yemeni Houthi Attack On Saudi Airport

AMMAN, Jordan, July 3 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan on Tuesday, condemned an attack by Iran-backed Houthis, that targeted Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia, leading to the injury of nine civilians.

Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Spokesman, Sufian Qudah, said, Houthis’ continued attacks on airports and civilians are “dangerous escalation” that violates international laws and conventions.

He highlighted Jordan’s support to Saudi Arabia and the kingdom’s efforts, to maintain its security and combat terrorism, according to a ministry statement.

Abha Airport suffered repeated missile and drone attacks, in the past several weeks.

On June 12, a missile attack by the Houthi rebels on the airport wounded 26 civilians, while another attack on June 23 killed a Syrian national and wounded 21 civilians.– NNN-PETRA
