Venezuela and Azerbaijan sign agreement for tourism development

CARACAS, Aug 19 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) — Venezuela and Azerbaijan signed an agreement to promote tourist destinations and packages, with the aim of boosting the leisure industry between the two countries, local media reported.

The agreement between the agencies Venetur, from the South American nation, and Absheron Travel, from Azerbaijan, includes mechanisms for interaction, coordination, and cooperation that make easy cultural exchange, as well as the issuance and reception of vacationers, according to a report by the Venezuelan News Agency.

The initiative joins others finalized in the context of the 2025 International Business Roundtable, including the agreement between Europa Travel and the Mexican company Access Travel, which seek to connect the Caucasus and Caribbean regions.

Venezuela’s participation in the event is part of the Ministry of People’s Power for Tourism’s strategy to expand its international agenda, which includes the development of emerging markets in Eurasia. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
