Afghanistan Inks 41-Million-USD Deals For Major Power Infrastructure

KABUL, Aug 17 (NNN-BNA) – The Afghan power company, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), has signed contracts worth about 41 million U.S. dollars, to develop critical electricity infrastructure in western Herat province, the company said, yesterday.

The contracts encompass three key projects, including extending transmission lines and constructing substations, said the report.

Officials said that the projects, slated for completion within two years, will significantly enhance and stabilise Herat’s electricity infrastructure.
