Two Injured In Israeli Airstrikes On Hezbollah Sites In Southern Lebanon

BEIRUT/JERUSALEM, Aug 15 (NNN-NNA/MA’AN) – Two people were injured last night, from a series of airstrikes, carried out by Zionist Israeli warplanes and drones, on Hezbollah sites, in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon’s official media and Lebanese security sources.

An Israeli drone fired two missiles at a motorcycle, in the village of Aitaroun, in the central sector of southern Lebanon.

Lebanon’s health ministry said, two people were injured in the attack. A security source said that, their target was a municipal police officer of the village.

Meanwhile, Israel’s military said yesterday that, it struck southern Lebanon, targeting what it described as “Hezbollah underground tunnels.”

It vowed to “continue to operate, in order to remove any threat posed to the Israeli regime.”

A fragile ceasefire between the Israeli regime and Hezbollah, brokered in Nov, last year, after 14 months of fighting, has not prevented continued Israeli attacks. On Wednesday, the brutal army chief of staff, Eyal Zamir, said, Israeli strikes had killed more than 240 “militants” and carried out about 600 attacks, since the truce took effect.– NNN-NNA/MA’AN
