BISHKEK, Aug 14 (NNN-KNA) – Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan have agreed to open trading houses in both countries, to strengthen trade and economic cooperation, the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Economy and Commerce said, yesterday.
The agreement was reached during talks between Kyrgyz Economy and Commerce Minister, Bakyt Sydykov, and acting Afghan Commerce and Industry Minister, Nooruddin Azizi, who is visiting Bishkek.
Sydykov emphasised that, the visit of the Afghan delegation represents an important step towards further deepening bilateral cooperation, the report said.
The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in identifying new mutually beneficial areas of cooperation, in promising sectors of the economy, and informed the Afghan side about ongoing economic reforms, and the significant potential for boosting mutual trade, the ministry said.
Azizi, for his part, highlighted the prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in the trade, economic and investment fields.– NNN-KNA
