KABUL, Aug 6 (NNN-BNA) – Afghan police seized a collection of historical artefacts in a series of operations in Kabul, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement, yesterday.
According to the statement, the artefacts, considered to be of significant historical value, were recovered amid suspected smuggling attempts, as they lacked proper legal documentation. The seized items include ancient metal, ceramic objects, antique paintings, and fragments of statues.
Without providing further details regarding the origin or estimated age of the relics, the statement confirmed that, one individual was arrested in connection with the case, and his dossier was referred to the judiciary for further investigation.– NNN-BNA
