Indian Army Officer Booked Over Thrashing Airline Staff At Airport

NEW DELHI, Aug 3 (NNN-PTI) – A senior Indian army officer was charged with “murderous assault,” after he injured four staff members of a private airline at the Srinagar airport, in Indian-controlled Kashmir, said the airline in a statement, issued today.

SpiceJet said in the statement that, the army officer was carrying luggage much beyond the permissible limits, and grew aggressive on being asked to pay for the extra luggage. He allegedly hit the airline’s staff at the boarding area, inflicting spinal injuries and jaw injuries on them, it added.

According to the airline, the incident occurred on July 26. The accused were to travel from Srinagar to Delhi.– NNN-PTI
