TAPAH, PERAK, July 30 (Bernama) — UEM Edgenta Berhad (“UEM Edgenta” or “the Company”), a leading Asset Management and Infrastructure Solutions company, today announced the development and operational readiness of its first Premix Plant with Recycling Facility located in Chenderiang, Tapah, Perak to produce Recycled Asphalt Premix (RAP). Developed through its infrastructure services subsidiary Edgenta PROPEL Berhad, the plant represents a strategic step forward in the company’s mission to lead sustainable infrastructure solutions aligned with Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR).
Operational since September 2024, UEM Edgenta’s Premix Plant represents a significant milestone in sustainable infrastructure development. The plant is built with a production capacity of 240 tonnes per hour, allowing it to handle large-scale asphalt production efficiently. It is also equipped with advanced technology that enables it to produce asphalt mixtures containing recycled materials, supporting more sustainable and environmentally friendly construction practices.
