YANGON, Jul 20 (NNN-MNA) – A Bluetooth speaker left charging, sparked a fire that destroyed eight homes in central Myanmar’s Mandalay region, according to the Mandalay Region Fire Services Department, today.
The fire broke out around 7:53 p.m. local time yesterday, in Mahaaungmye township, in Mandalay region, an official from the department, said.
The fire started while a Bluetooth speaker was being charged. Its battery burst and ignited nearby clothes, causing the fire to spread, he said.
A total of 37 people from 13 households were affected. No deaths were reported, he added.– NNN-MNA
