Four Dead, Two Hospitalised Following Crash In Northern Australia

SYDNEY, Jul 20 (NNN-AAP) – Four people died and two have been hospitalised, after two cars collided in a remote part of northern Australia.

The police service in Australia’s north-eastern state of Queensland said today that, the two vehicles collided on a highway between the historical coal mining towns of Comet and Blackwater, some 615 kilometres north-west of Brisbane, in the Central Highlands region, about 10:50 a.m. local time today.

Four people died at the scene and two more were hospitalised with serious injuries.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), reported that both vehicles caught fire and that the two people taken to hospital were both men in their 20s.– NNN-AAP
