HANOI, Jul 15 (NNN-VNA) – Vietnam’s textile and garment exports, reached nearly 22 billion U.S. dollars in the first six months of the year, up 10 percent from the same period last year, local daily newspaper, Nhan Dan (People), reported today.
Amid global uncertainties, Vietnamese enterprises have ramped up production to meet delivery deadlines and maximise tariff advantages ahead of potential new U.S. trade measures, the report added.
Vietnamese textile and garment products have been exported to 132 countries and territories, with many firms having secured orders through Sept, and currently negotiating contracts for the year-end season, the report noted.
According to authorities’ forecasts, export revenue from the industry could reach 46 to 47 billion dollars this year, given the current momentum, the state-owned media reported.– NNN-VNA
