VIENTIANE, Jul 11 (NNN-KPL) – Lao Deputy Prime Minister, Saleumxay Kommasith, and Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister, Nguyen Chi Dung, met, to strengthen the two neighbours’ long-standing friendship and comprehensive cooperation.
The meeting took place in the Lao capital, Vientiane, on Wednesday, as part of the Vietnamese deputy prime minister’s official visit from Wednesday to Friday (today), the Vientiane Mai newspaper reported, yesterday.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation, in the first half of 2025, highlighting steady progress in implementing the 2025 Laos-Vietnam Cooperation Agreement.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitments to fully implement the cooperation plan, with a focus on key infrastructure projects. They also agreed to expedite discussions on a new bilateral cooperation agreement for 2026-2030.– NNN-KPL
