VIENTIANE, Jul 9 (NNN-KPL) – Representatives from Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia, from border provinces, gathered in the Lao capital, Vientiane, for a special training, aimed at sharing lessons from each country’s socio-economic development, and strengthening cooperation among the three parties.
The training, which runs from Jul 8 to 15, brings together 50 participants, including 20 from Laos, 15 from Vietnam, and 15 from Cambodia, the local Pasaxon newspaper reported, yesterday.
The programme centres on the exchange of experiences in socio-economic development, with discussions covering key topics, such as, the role of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party in the international arena, traditional Laos-Vietnam-Cambodia relations, the development of peaceful, friendly and cooperative border areas, and economic and trade development strategies, amid regional and global integration.
The programme also highlights Laos’ socio-economic development strategies, within the framework of international integration, along with tourism and cultural cooperation among the three countries. In addition, participants will take part in a study tour to visit significant historical landmarks and production facilities in Vientiane and Vientiane province.– NNN-KPL
