Two Chinese Citizens Injured After Bus Crash In New Zealand

WELLINGTON, Jul 8 (NNN-XINHUA) – The Chinese Consulate-General in Christchurch, confirmed today that, a Chinese tour group bus, crashed on a highway in South Island, New Zealand, injuring two Chinese citizens.

According to the New Zealand Police, the accident was reported this morning. The bus was part of a Chinese tour group heading to Queenstown and Milford Sound.

The Police said that, black ice was reported in the area, where it is winter season, with cold and damp weather.

The Chinese Consulate-General in Christchurch stated that, rescue operations are underway. The Consulate-General is closely monitoring the treatment of the injured and promptly providing consular services and assistance. The Consulate-General reminded that, it is now winter in New Zealand, with South Island known for its changeable weather and slippery roads.
