NEW DELHI, Jul 4 (NNN-PTI) – Amid growing public outcry, the Indian capital government, yesterday, put the End-of-Life (EoL) vehicle impounding policy on hold, and rolled back the contentious order of denying fuel to them.
The move came two days after the announcement of the implementation ban, following widespread backlash from residents and criticism from opposition party leaders.
The local Delhi government has written to the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), saying, the fuel ban on overage vehicles was not feasible.– NNN-PTI
